I renamed the columns of a state-by-month table, drew a correlation heatmap, histograms by region and a sunburst of unemployment rates by region and state.
Original tutorial by Aman Kharwal: Unemployment Analysis (opens in a new tab)
| Output | Value | Cell # |
|---|---|---|
| Mean estimated unemployment rate (%) | 12.24 | |
| State-month rows | 267 |
Cell # counts every cell from the top of the notebook, Markdown included, starting at 1.
The sunburst adds rates together across months, so a state's slice size has no real meaning.
267 state-month rows of 2020 estimates from the tutorial author's data repository.
